  1. Thanks Spydertrader! Somehow, I was lulled into thinking rockets only formed at the open. This is a really nice view to straighten me out. Thanks again.

  2. That one was fun. Too bad it was last day b4 Labor Day or I would have bought more. I exited shortly b4 the close as it looked to me like a short squeeze.

OTOH, they announced today that their full FY earnings will be announced next Friday. So, it may not have been a short squeeze but instead people who got a preview of Friday's announcement liked what they saw. Ohh, that would be illegal insider trading, so it must be the short squeeze. How could I have imagined people doing something illegal for personal gain. Shame on me.

  3. Thanks Spyder,

I'm trying to refrain from asking a bunch of questions, as I am new'ish to this thread, and still working through the journals.

Suprise Suprise, alot of my questions seem to keep getting answered as I progress with the reading... :)

Irrespective of the methodology used (although its an excellent strategy - today was a perfect example), I think your tireless efforts are astounding, thanks once again for posting such great work.

I'm a bit puzzled how the Investopedia simulator got me in on this trade at $24.10. LBDU hadn't hit by then, and I wasn't front footing the system. It should have been closer to $25 at trigger point. Oh well. The vagaries of a simulator.

I also got into TIE when LBDU was exceeded @ 26.66. Plan on selling since it did not reach FRV.

I see GROW as reaching FRV and Peak on the same day. I've read that on a couple of trades you have been loath to sell immediately when this happens, I guess due to the inherent momentum in such a large amount of volume on price improvement. However since GROW exceeded my 10% target in one day, I'll exit. (it's easy to say - no greed here when I'm paper trading! :D )

Once again thanks Spyder, and all of the great contributors on this thread. An excellent learning tool for any trader.

  4. I head to New York this week - leaving Monday and returning Friday morning. Although I plan to watch the markets each day while away, my schedule does not appear to provide an opportunity to post. As a result, I look forward to reading about everyone's results upon my return.

Enjoy the Holiday Weekend, and Good Trading to Everyone next week.

  5. An old Thread started by dbphoenix, Jack lays out (in a pictorial fashion) drawing trendlines step by step. I thought this information made its way into the Journals previously, but in case it had not, you can review the posts right here.

Does anyone else have SMDI showing no rank in the Hershey Trader program but a 4.79 rank in Wealth-lab?

Is anyone buying this one? Plenty of insider buying and rapid sales growth.

  10. QED,

I don't know if you've read the journal from the beginning but NUAN doesn't fit our criteria at all. It lacks rank (no cycles) and has a negaitve EPS. I didn't look at float or other factors.
