To me actual power is legislation they can create and push through or swaying the main party line. Right now they are so tainted most people are distancing themselves from her with all this scandal talk and her stupidity being brought up especially today.

AOC is also falling away because right now those in power want to stay there in 2020 and she is child fucking everything up. If Biden or Warren get the momentum, they will kiss Bernie's ass to get that socialist Birkenstock wearing youth support but nothing AOC wants will be out for the main election.

Even Trump marginalized the radical right during the election though they tried to be front and center. If he coudl do it and they were a strong part of his base, the Dems can marginalize batshit crazy freshmen.

 

Maybe legislation is the litmus test moreso in the off-season but with an election coming up they have and have had enormous power in controlling what the face of the dem party is and how lefty they agenda needs to be. Not a single candidate running has not adjust themselves or feared being on the wrong side of them. I know your view is that they are just a Fox News phenomenon but not so. They have become highly successful in becoming the the face of the dem party or at least putting the fear of god into the dems that they have or could. Fox has built upon it by letting them dig the party in deeper but their disproportionate power is not due to anyone on the right. It is due to far left galloping even further to the left for any and all reasons and the Squad finding themselves in favor and exploiting at the expense of the old dnc dud regime. No legislation needed. They want to leave that until after the regime change that they envision. They already have a dozen dem candidates promoting their lefty agenda. And another dozen who would like to but are too far down in the polls.

 

I need actual proof before believing. Sounds more like scared right then actual power of these 4 freshman....
