Secure two pieces of aluminum tubing together?

  1. How can I butt-end two pieces of 1" aluminum tubing together with hand tools? It would be with some sort of clamp type of fitting - but I can't find any solutions when I google it.

Place a socket/nipple/sleeve inside or outside and superglue together.
Sleeve could be aluminium or some other material, eg even hard plastic.
Hardware store may have, check thru the water reticulation dept, also camping shops for aluminium tent poles where you may could find some suitable tube.

  4. If the previous suggestions don’t work then you could try the power of prayer. Not sure which particular deity/deities you’re keen on but it might be worth a go. If you’re an atheist I’m afraid you’d better start preparing for a life of separated pipes!
