SEC clamps down on decentralized exchanges

    If you're wondering what happened this week, like I've said before, regulation will be crypto's coffin nail. Cliffnotes; decentralized exchanges are exchanges w/o "headquarters" they exist in the "ether" and are secured by smart contracts. Think of it as peer to peer exchanging.

    Crypto backers love them because there's no way to have your funds frozen if there's no organization behind it, they're completely anonymous as there's no need for verification. The feds hate them because there's no way to track funds and users.
