SCOTUS rules that partisan gerrymandering claims are nonjusticiable

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

This impact of this ruling is one of the most decisive in history in my opinion. The ruling effectively will prohibit a political entity from even filing claims with respect to gerrymandering to any court in the US.

Oh, that's nice, I guess we can fix another win for Trump. Look at that 5-4... Who could've predicted it.

My only hope is the Trump is able to seat another SCOTUS and that a ruling similar to this in the future will be 6-3.

I just don't get tired of the feeling of winning.

But why do you hate America?

  5. Is Roberts just tossing a coin to come up with his opinions? Right after issuing one of the most idiotic opinions in the sorry history of the Court on the Census, he knocks it out of the park with this one. In one fell swoop, he takes judges out of the inherently partisan business of apportionment, where they never had any business to begin with, and also breathes new life into the justiciability doctrine. That doctrine acted as a barrier to judicial activism and general mischief-making for decades by recognizing that some disputes, no matter how hotly debated, are not for the federal courts to resolve. They are reserved for the political branches to decide.

Remind me, which political party is it that wants to fundamentally change America. The one that wants to change or abolish long standing immigration laws and the one the wants to eliminate the US's economic system. The US fought many wars in an attempt end the spread and to eliminate socialism and communism from the face of the earth. Which political party wants to change the economic system to become specifically the economic system that the US fought so hard against for decades. If you want to US to become socialist that equals hating the US.

I see your hate for America comes from listening to poorly evidenced fox reports. Very unpatriotic

What is your specific definition of patriotic?

  9. There should be basic principles that are required to be followed when redistricting. This principles should be based on geographical and other relevant considerations, not politics.

Totally fine with this decision, give it some time and Dems will take full advantage of it.
