S&P 500 lifespans continue to shrink. 24yrs by 2016 and is forecast to shrink to just 12yrs by 2027

    makes sense though.... exponential technology should make the cycles shorter.

    Signs of the times. Everything is accelerated. Tesla (and new tech) had a good run of 10 years then blows up in 2 years. Repeat it and you get a shorter life cycle...

    Of course no one knows truly what the future holds but the historical part of the histogram clearly shows lower and lower highs. The trend, the trend.
