The Russians, Putin et al, are a threat to American well being and western civilization. Y’all are arguing about $40 billion, we should give them $80 billion and the twice as much weapons and ammunition. The Ukrainians are at the vanguard in the struggle of free people.

A strong and independent Ukraine capable of holding the Russians in Russia is invaluable to the free world. A weakened and defeated Russia caught in a quagmire is *chef’s kiss*.

  3. Now you’re making sense, not the poor Ukrainians blah blah, you’re using Ukrainians as a proxy for your own national interests.

Putin was fairly warned we would arm the Ukrainians and Russia would be punished. Our interest is that Ukraine remain free. So the consequences are his alone.

The $40 billion plus is absolutely in our national security interest though. Stopping Putin in Ukraine is good for all free countries. Putin can stop all of this tomorrow, if he wants to keep digging the hole that’s his choice.

  10. Your interest is to have a sellout president of Ukraine who would make it super lucrative for your business, that’s an illusion of freedom when Ukraine would have to be told and dictated by the US, as Russians say, поменять шило на мыло.
