Well, that is a great point you raise. I was always on the right side. I did not post what I really meant, because I mixed up my position on past conflicts with my country's official position. I should have said, "it is so nice to be able to support my country's government when it is on the right side, for a change. " I was firmly against the Vietnam War. I was firmly against the GWB war in Iraq!

Thank you for correctly reading what I posted!, even though it is not what I meant. You read what I posted. That's a step in the right direction. Thank you.

You spoiled your otherwise smart response by attributing to me positions you imagined.

You are not on the right side.
You support nazis who fight the war provoked by US with 2 main objectives
    1. To defend US hegemony and preserve US dollar status
    2. To weaken Russia to obtain resources with printed money

Only really low IQ would think this war is about freedom, homeland etc.

Well I sometimes feel bad for those who are killed as a consequence of helping my friends who are fighting but then I read Pu and Kakakin's posts and the melancholy vanishes.

We spend like $800 B a year on defense, this is a drop in the bucket, and it is being spent on defense. Weakening a country with a leader who is obviously making some really poor and erratic decisions is a good investment. We can't cower in fear to anyone who has nuclear weapons, that will just expedite proliferation which is inevitable. It is also a technology test bed, it has apparently advanced to a point that if you have a determined population, and we feed you information and badass weapons, asymmetric warfare can actually achieve victory. This will save American lives in the long run. China will think twice about Taiwan, which could get really ugly for us if China weaponized the asian chip producers. I think that it's an investment we can't pass up.

Russia had two choices, feel the love or feel the pain, they chose pain rather than love, so pain is what they get.
NATO & US are not their enemies, but they prefer to believe their leader Putin rather than mainstream opinion.

Ukraine Reportedly Attacks Russian Navy Logistics Ship ‘Vsevolod Bobrov’ in Black Sea

Ukrainian forces have reportedly attacked and damaged a Russian Navy logistics support vessel in the Black Sea, according to multiple media reports.

Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesperson for the Odesa regional military administration, confirmed the attack against the Vsevolod Bobrov, a multi-purpose logistics support ship delivered only recently in August 2021.

The ship reportedly sustained damage and was set on fire.

“As a result of the actions of our Navy, the Vsevolod Bobrov logistics ship, one of the newest in the Russian fleet, set on fire. They say she is limping toward Sevastopol,” Bratchuk said, according to Ukrainian media reports.

The Vsevolod Bobrov was built for the Russian Navy by Severnaya Verf Shipyard in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is the second of three Logistics Support Vessels in the Elbrus-class/Project 23120, designed for a range of operations including dry cargo transport, towing, fleet escort, and salvage and rescue. The vessel also features an ice-strengthened hull.

The attack on the Vsevolod Bobrov, if confirmed, follows the sinking of the Moskva, the flagship of Russia’s Black Sea fleet, in April. Russia’s defense ministry eventually confirmed multiple casualties from that incident.

  10. Your friends who are ‘volunteers’ are there cause they love the thrill of being in a war, plus they get paid a monthly salary, some would loot and if lucky come back home wealthier than they were prior to signing up. Some of these volunteers actually have mental issues, I wouldn’t be surprised if they are the ones responsible for some of the rapes and murders that go on there.
