Seems Ukraine has the equivalent of several divisions (not brigades) in there, at least two and probably more. Don't think they will automatically just retreat like previous smaller raids by free Russian units. Recall Ukraine has saved a lot of MBTs etc. that were almost useless for drone trench warfare but will do well in an open scenario like this. Russia has barely any tanks left. What will happen probably depends on Russia's response. If Russia refuses to move units en masse to defend Kursk then Ukraine will likely proceed to occupy the region to have something trade back their own territory for in peace negotiations. Zelensky's speech late today kinda hinted at that.
How typical for Russia is to be unprepared! This pattern repeats again and again. Another pattern also repeats. It ends up badly for thoose who started.
Second helicopter shot down with drone, seems it will be a recurrent theme: Russian infantry battalion wiped out on highway at Rylsk (warning: slightly if not overly graphic): Lipetsk airfield ammunition stores giving nice fireworks:
Subtitles : ,, .. Column No more fire Guys guys... watch... " (The emotion and idea can be felt by anyone) Seems like he saw it previously during the day/night. Typical cannon fodder.
