Kamala Harris was not selected to carry the Black vote because Biden was selected for such and to carry the absentee vote (e.g. military, American citizens living abroad).

In contrast, Kamala Harris was selected to carry the suburban white women vote and the other votes of the ethnic communities that are the fastest growing populations in the United States of America plus her law and order background.

Just as important, Kamala Harris was selected to bring women closer to the highest office in the United States which is something women have been seeking for 20 years...they are a force...the backbone of America.

• More and more women are entering congress...Democrats and Republicans.

If Trump tries to run again in 2024...will he smart up and pick a woman running mate as vice president like Biden did assuming the Republicans allows him back into their political party ???

It is interesting though that we talk about the issue in terms of old white guys picking someone for the women to have on the ticket. One would think that they would be capable of doing that themselves or want to do that. Apparently it has not been so.

Interestingly though - when given a choice- young women and women in general went overwhelmingly for an old white guy- Bernie- when he ran against Hillary in the primary.

Similarly, the primary in 2020 included LOTS of women but a lot of the women were not likeable and women ended out rallying behind another old white guy. Who in turn picked someone for the women and blacks- who women and ended out only being lukewarm towards.

The dems had a major, major opportunity and field to chose from to pick a nominee who was either a woman or black or both. And they did not do that for reasons that are totally on them.

 

Maybe some quant selected the vice president for Biden via a statistical algorithm.

Simply, Biden follow the science.

Then again, historically, woman had to get their foot into the door via a man opening that door to them when that man is married to a very strong woman himself.
