Considering that deaths lag new cases by 7 or 8 weeks --- the ratio is meaningless -- unless you offset it in time in a similar manner to the correct way of reporting CFR in the midst of a global pandemic (as discussed on the worldmeter site).
Fear monger first, check later.. is his Covid m.o. We see him lie on almost every Covid thread over and over. He lied when he said Deaths are rapidly accelerating.
This is from JH site. Record high cases past week and deaths 1/3 of the peak in April. But then it's an article from AP and of course he doesn't link to the data because the data does not support the headline.
We are probably already over 300,000 deaths in the U.S. when a proper accounting is done... About 75,000 more Americans died from COVID-19 pandemic than reported in spring and summer, study finds https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...previously-recorded-excess-deaths/5935813002/ The coronavirus pandemic may have caused tens of thousands of more deaths in the spring and summer than previously thought, a new study says. Researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond found nearly 75,000 more people may have died from the pandemic than what was recorded in March to July, according to the report published Monday in the peer-reviewed journal JAMA. By examining death certificates, the study found more than 150,000 deaths were officially attributed to COVID-19 during that period. But researchers determined that nearly 75,000 additional deaths were indirectly caused by the pandemic, bringing the total number of deaths for those four months to more than 225,000. Johns Hopkins University data puts the total COVID-19 death toll in the U.S. at just below 215,000. “There have been some conspiracy theories that the number of deaths from COVID-19 have been exaggerated,” said Dr. Steven Woolf, director emeritus of the Center on Society and Health at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. “The opposite is the case. We’re actually experiencing more death than we thought we were.”
Let's ignore the many days recently when over 700 deaths are reported in the U.S. Let's ignore Thursday when 971 deaths were reported in the U.S. Just go cherry pick day recently with the lowest deaths and go with it. Whatever. Donald Trump Jr. dismisses Covid deaths as ‘almost nothing’ even as U.S. averages 800 deaths per day https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/30/don...g-even-as-us-averages-800-deaths-per-day.html Donald Trump Jr. downplayed the coronavirus outbreak, saying that the number of new Covid-19 deaths in the U.S. is “almost nothing.” The U.S. reported 971 new virus deaths on Thursday, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. Average daily new deaths in the U.S. have not fallen consistently below 700 per day since July, Hopkins data shows.
I know longer care. He lies on just about every thread and its selfish sobs like him who spread unreasonable fear... ruining the lives of kids all over. Kids need to live, those who fear should isolate.
