Thank you for posting. When we last was in Bali , ten years ago, we couldn't"t step into the ocean because of massive garbage, mostly plastic s. In Europe in many countries, plastic bags are almost out of use, but here in the Bahamas we still can see packing boys in supermarkets to double bags. And there is not any recycling. More education certainly urgently needed on our planet in order to save it.
Recently a whale died because it filled its belly with plastic garbage, it won't be the last, I'm afraid.
Very sad. Eight years ago was accomplished this project, the 60 fr catamaram entitely made from plastic bottles sailled from San Framcisco to Sydney, saddly no one took initiative to continue
Events like this are good for raising awareness, but they're not enough to find solution to the problem, I'm afraid.
Yes, sure. But it was a drop to bring awareness. David Rothschild made it possible and personally sailed across Pacific on "Plastik". Could you imagine if majority os prodigies from the great families will dedicate their energies and resources to the similar appeals? Without awareness, nothing in the long term can be accomplished, but the time to obtain awareness can be longer than survival time for the Earth. So, yes, we have to contribute as much as we can. Maybe we can start right here - to name our little steps in the environment battle.
