You dont know anything about me, except what you read here. Yes I do have granite counter tops and recessed lights and I enjoy a comfortable house that worth more than a million dollars. If that makes you upset, look into your life why you didn't make those choices any sooner, and what can you do about it. Real estate is still a bargain and in few years you could hop scotch your way into a million dollar or more home so you can wash your clothes in your private laundry room. Just donot stand there and take a beating when you meet successful people. At least I don't.
You are getting skinned alive on your taxes. Take a look how much you will pay in 2007, it should horrify you and upset you. You have no tax planning and tax shelter, none. Silicone valley specially in Santa Clara/ San Jose there are so many nice homes available right now.
