Got a question for those who have developed profitable systems with the intention of selling the source code. How do you price a system? I'm trying to raise some capital to start trading again, and I'm willing to sell the source code for one of my crude oil trading algos. Looking to get about 50k. I have forward trading, no backtesting stats for mid April - September 19th. System trades price action patterns, doesn't rely on indicators for signals. Took a total of 278 trades, profit of 57,976.88 on 20k starting (3 contracts per trade), largest draw down was 2,800. It can be scaled up within reason. Written in C# for ninja, but can be converted to any platform or language. Attached the stats for april-sept.
http://www.nadex.com/trade-energies.html They're cleared by OCC - not some bucketshop outfit. No need to be a twat; it was a suggestion to keep your code to yourself and work with it indefinitely.
The sample size is like nothing and amount of time is way too little as well. Go back ten years, min of 5 years and sample size of 3,000.
why would anybody sell a so-called "profitable" system??? raise money from family/friends and have it mint money...if it really works.
