    Wow!

Sitting at home trading stocks and looking at Porn sites
    between trades..

after a few years of this I'm now a Porn addict
    go figure:D

I now realize I been using Porn to help with the stress
of trading and it's been a big mistake!

My Porn addiction and cost me to lose everything
I had in life..i.e.. money, friends, wife..

now I need to start over I still love trading
but how can I stay clean and away from Porn while trading?

    Ed...

  3. It's hard to find a woman when you're sitting in front of your PC all day. Find an upscale gym nearby. Lift heavy sh*t until you look better. Have you ever wondered why you see hard-core runners in the park in 20-degree weather? It's the endorphins (portmanteau, root: morphine) and flood of (this and other) neurotransmitters they get from their addiction (running).

Find a complimentary hobby... hobbies are generally to be avoided, but preferable to destructive-addiction. I am into A/V. It's well-suited to trading as there are a lot of gear that works well with PCs.

My desktop: I use FLAC and "high-quality" Spotify files from my mac tower -> Apogee Duet2 DAC -> Sennheiser HD800 and Ultrasone 900 headphones and to Focal CMS40 active monitors. I suffer from ADHD, so the "four-beat" from trance and progressive is therapeutic. If I am mobile I use FLAC player on my IP4 and Spotify with ATH-CK10 IEM 'phones.

When I travel I take my Mac Air 13", Ultrasone 900s and IEM headphones as well as a pair of Audioengine A2 monitors and a pair of Soundmatters FOXL speakers which fit in your pocket. They're bluetooth (work with any BT smartphone) or wired and sound amazing, but are essentially mono as there is limited stereo-imaging. I realize this is overkill on the info, but it will save someone research time if they're looking for gear.

IMO, there are good and bad addictions. An "addiction" to raw-eating is a good one. Beating yourself silly to images on your PC isn't one of them.

All things in moderation. I realize this is a troll-thread, but I feel that the above could help some people.

No fucking way. I started a little trading last week and I can't stop listening to the shoutcast dnb channel.
Drums and Bass droning techno, and it is relaxing me, in fact I can't stop listening, when I'm looking at the charts . When I'm on other sites I don't always listen to the dnb. I thought something was getting messed up in my brain, because I HAVE to have it playing.

  6. Yeah, I wouldn't spend $3k on desktop gear otherwise. The beauty of the Apogee DAC is that it powers headphones as well a source for monitors. There is really no better source. There are $20k+ DACs out there, but they're "warm" sources, and warmth is something you look for in your speakers/headphones and not your source.

IOW, an Apogee Duet2 and a pair of AKG 702s is <$1,000 and extremely high quality. You would need to spend $30k to equal the quality in a amp/DAC/speaker setup. The Ultrasone 900 Pros are the best EDM/bass headphones I've found, but can be a little fatiguing on the highs after a few hours.

  7. Get a video camera and record yourself masterbaiting to porn sites. Then watch the video and see how much of a freak you look like jacking off to a computer screen. It should scar you mentally enough to stop for at least a month. Then when you get urge to visit a porn site again. Watch the video of yourself again.

  8. lol, is that how you beat your addiction to porn? Aversion therapy?
