POLL: Is posting in the P&R forum a truly pointless exercise?

The reasons should be self-evident to anyone who has posted here with any regularity.

And, if you voted "yes" as I did, then why do we even bother? I'm still trying to figure it out. Really.

I feel that some of the argumentation I participate in here sharpens me in my day to day work.

I voted no because there are times when I am forced to give serious consideration to another point of view. That said, it is mostly a rant fest.
