I thought it was funny too. Then I realized how sad our country has become that not only did Obama get elected, but the sheeple elected him for a second term.
...and more than a few bat shit crazy liberals want him to stay for a third term. As if two disastrous terms isn't enough.
Isn't owning guns outdated? The idea of the founding fathers was that a citizenry who can own guns cannot be gunned down by a government. But witness Waco (among other things). The government already has us outgunned. Do you really think you can hole up in your house with 1000 guns and expect that the police or ATF will not ultimately kill you? Then what good do guns do us any more? More accidental and mental-illness-induced killings of innocent people occur than episodes of legitimate defense. Please argue with me: I realize there are other points of view and I am still thinking about this issue and have come to few conclusions. I welcome your post if you can state your argument coherently, politely, and unemotionally.
If the citizenry decided as a whole to stand up against government, they would and could. Without an armed citizenry, that would be impossible.
You don't want anyone to own guns because a few lunatics used them to kill people? So you think we would all be safer if nobody has guns? That argument is so fucking asinine. It ignores the real problem, mental illness. Mentally ill people would use another apparatus to kill if there were no guns (knives, swords, home made pipe bombs, trucks loaded with manure and chemicals, etc etc etc). Use your head. Stop blaming an inanimate object for those tragedies and start working on the root of the problem.
