So Monday I think it was, some Congresswoman from Michigan in an area Trump carried pretty handily, was on several networks saying "she has to vote her conscious", political career be damned. IE, vote to impeach. "Now correct me if I'm wrong Sandy" (quick..which movie?)... but aren't Representatives supposed to vote what their constituents want? Since when is it about her feelings? That's bs.
If congressmen/women polled their district before every vote we would be a democracy, not a republic. And if we were a true democracy, we would not need representatives.
Another "constitutional scholar". Ya know we already have B1 here claiming that. Anyway.. well its called "The People's House" and the FF's intent I'm sure was to have the Reps represent the wishes of the people who sent them there. Don't arrive in DC and then start voting your feelings. Do your job. But that's jmo...
This is actually wrong. We have a representative democracy. Meaning the people vote for their representatives not the people vote on issues. The president is the office of the nation, the senate is the chamber of the state’s and the house is the chamber of the people. All power in this country is derived from the people, legally. And the entire political system is in a constant state of revolution with elections every 2,4 and 6 years to make the elected officials accountable to the people. O hope some day you right wingers love America enough to actually learn about it.
Among many other things. How are the new irons btw. I still haven't gotten to a shop to hit one of those things. Its on the list.
