After rolling out the ability for US users to buy and sell cryptocurrency directly from their accounts last November, PayPal’s new “Checkout with Crypto” allows users to instantly convert their Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, or Bitcoin Cash to US dollars (with no additional transaction fees) that PayPal then uses to complete the transaction. If a merchant doesn’t take US dollars, PayPal also converts those dollars into local currency at standard conversion rates set by PayPal. PayPal will support several types of cryptocurrency, including Ethereum and Bitcoin. support for Bitcoin on the Cash App. But the launch of cryptocurrency as a form of payment makes PayPal both a major digital wallet and a cryptocurrency exchange, which could streamline the use of cryptocurrency as a more common payment method. During its Investor Day last week, the company reported that it had 377 million active accounts. Can't buy anything with Bitcoin? Please!

Great ! If a merchant does not accept US dollars, PayPal converts those dollars into local currency at PayPal's regular exchange rates.
I was super excited after hearing this..but this probably only works for people who bought cryptos on PayPal.. Eg. i can't send from my own wallet to pay for something on paypal. that's like mehh... But still.
PayPal also introduced a new mobile crypto payment service through its Venmo app. 70 million Venmo users across the U.S. will now be able to buy, sell and store digital currencies including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Ethereun.
