Yes that is hypocritical and I am extremely disturbed how someone cannot even see the difference between calling out hypocrisy and criticizing or shooting down someone. I think Al Gores lifestyle does not match his talk but I respect him for his work and convictions on the environment. On the other hands I have no issue to shoot someone down for being so narrow-minded in saying Al Gore has it all wrong, basically suggesting environmental worries are crap.
Exactly and that is ridiculously hypocritical. He wants life for the average person to be better? How so? By allowing Wild West capitalism to remain Out of control? The same model that he fully embraced for decades to enrich himself. Like knowingky passing on HIV to everyone and then stand behind the podium and talking about AIDS prevention?
No he is a shit in comparison to the two figures mentioned because he lives a hypocritical life style while those two others were genuine and they did what they spoke. Pretty much everyone but you capitalist deformations would agree with this assessment , not least evidenced in the countless recognitions and awards they received in response to touching millions Of people. WITHOUT A SINGLE PENNY. You are missing the point entirely. look up the definition of hypocrisy. It's saying one thing and doing another. Or do you also believe that Blackstone's Schwarzman's Motivation in naming one building after another after him are selfless acts and making right rather than sheer fear of not becoming immortal after his ass goes down to the ground some time soon? In what illusion are you living?
I'm not sure where you fall on other issues, but here you appear to be little more than a bundle of rage seeking expression. The world is not 2-dimensional, it is not merely black & white, even though you appear to see it that way or perhaps wish it were so. There is little upside engaging a broken record in dialogue. My mistake.
Exactly right it's not 2 dimensional. But it's either hypocritical or not. There is no middle ground in this definition. Look it up in the dictionary. You seem a little confused about the actual meaning.
Care to stick to the point? It all started with me calling him hypocritical. And that is exactly what he is to the dot according to dictionary definition. Sorry that I blasphemed your super hero.
I understand what you are saying, but lifestyle is a byproduct of success. Everything is relative--- when i judge art, i just look at the art, and never judge it by the artist's lifestyle or whatever. I bet we agree on most things just see this differently. thanks for chat! surf
It does appear at this point that you are foaming at the mouth troll, however I figured I would give it one last shot. Many of us don't see him acting one way and doing something else. It is not a matter of hypocrisy. Here is an analogy. Bobby Fisher the chess prodigy was a master at the game of chess. - he became a master, perhaps the greatest or nearly the greatest ever, as defined by those rules. Yet, at some point he came to believe those rules had become overly gamed by those who applied tremendous analytical power to opening game theory or strategy. He felt that this focus on the open had corrupted the game and changed it to something worse than itwas. Consequently, he proposed a new set of rules where the opening position of the pieces were significantly randomized. It is not the greatest analogy in the world, yet it has some merit. Fisher won by the rules of the game, just as Jones has. Yet, like fisher Jones feels that the system had become to some degree corrupted and worthy of criticism and evaluation. Was fisher a massive hypocrite because he won and then "critiqued" the system he won under and then proposed an alternative? Most people would say no. Same with Jones.
