new leftist hero Thomas Picketty's data... turns out to show inequality is not rising under capitalism. <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/a2Qjf36n5A8?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
So if we're talking about Piketty, inequality is not rising, but if we're talking about Obama, it is?
precisely.... within the us just about everybody's standard of living relative to the rest of the world has been crushed. Inflation, Outsourcing, regulations and massive progressive ubiquitous taxation have seen to that. so by taking from the taxpayers... and directing some of that to the non workers... you can make a poorer but more equal. its why the left like to normalize tax revenues curves... they want more of everyone income who produces income. The cronies however has also been able to extract american to their overseas accounts.
Regardless of whether or not Picketty's data is incorrect, it is undeniable that poor people have made some of the greatest strides in history during periods of rising income inequality. iberals would rather have both people suffer losses to their lifestyle, than have 1 persons income outpacing the other while they both go up, they would rather have a world where everyone was poor than one where a few are able to succeed. Its the childish politics of jealousy, Guess what? income inequality is growing in china, its growing in brazil, and its growing in india, is there anyone dumb enough to say that their standard of living isnt growing at the same time? You want to have a look at somewhere income inequality isnt growing, take a look at greece. We dont need to tax the rich more, we need to get rid of radical keynesian shit heads like krugman who insist that inflation is a good thing, bottom line is income inequality would not be an issue if these lefties quit insisting on printing money, and "growing" the economy via inflation. There is no evidence to show that growing income inequality is harmful to the poor, the real thing that is harmful to the poor is the devaluing of the dollar, something which their wages cant possibly keep up with,
Whats your point? the average poor person in 1967 didnt even have a refrigerator, today the average poor person has a refrigerator, ac, internet, t.v., cell phones, videogames, etc, etc, there was a much more drastic boost in terms of standard of living over the last 35 years for poor people than for rich. Far left environmentalists like you cause far more damage than income inequality does to the poor by driving up the cost of their main expenditure, energy.
another point to understand is that until the last few years the data showed the quartiles were very fluid. people moved up and own the quartiles very easily. Except for the lowest 20%. where the govt did the most intervention... Democrat polices locked people into a permanent underclass status.
