Its true... fraudcurrents and DB cited reality today...

They cited this new article from the BBC which tries to put the best nutter spin on it... but they admit its the tides impact global temperature.

The hiatus in the rise in global temperatures could last for another 10 years, according to new research.

Scientists have struggled to explain the so-called pause that began in 1999, despite ever increasing levels of CO2 in the atmosphere.

The latest theory says that a naturally occurring 30-year cycle in the Atlantic Ocean is behind the slowdown.

The researchers says this slow-moving current could continue to divert heat into the deep seas for another decade.

However, they caution that global temperatures are likely to increase rapidly when the cycle flips to a warmer phase.

Actually I was referring to a different article which focused on the Atlantic Conveyor. Do you really want to start another thread on this stuff?

Colder temps are yet another sign of global warming. The colder it gets, the worse the warming is!

  4. Jem you moron. It's currents, NOT tides. Tides are different. And no, the earth is not cooling.

are you kidding me. nice try at changing the subject. you are truly ignorant of science. Tides and currents impact ocean surface temps and the entire global weather system and global warming and cooling. There are papers which show long term lunar cycles also impact global warming and cooling because the moon impacts tides.

I have been citing papers to you you about el nino- la nina - enso, tides, circulation and the the atlantic conveyor for years.
I studied currents and the ocean and surfed all over before you got to air conditional installer school.

nice try -- but the focus here is that it is the ocean not man made co2 mostly impacting global temps. And yes... the ocean has been warming so co2 has been rising.
    CO2... follows ocean temps.

  6. Whatever happened to all those hurricanes we were supposed to be having? Listening to the cultists in 2005 we were going to have bigger hurricanes and in greater number from that point forward. Hasn't been a Gulf hurricane of substance since. I guess that's what happens when you base your predictions on wild eyed speculation rather than actual facts. One season does not determine climate. Nor does 5, or 10, or a hundred for that matter. Not on a planet that is billions of years old. A hundred years of data? And we're supposed to take this seriously? Ludicrous.

are you denying the atlantic conveyor impacts global temps or not?

The subject isn't changed; you just never understood the subject to begin with. If you think you do, explain the Atlantic Conveyor.

  10. So then you also know that CO2 is greenhouse gas and rising levels of it has to cause the earth to heat up. Like this..
