Obama: Inequality "morally wrong" By Adam Aigner-Treworgy and Tom Cohen, CNN updated 8:23 PM EDT, Wed July 24, 2013 Confronting the deep partisan divide over federal spending, tax reform and raising the debt ceiling later this year, Obama told a large crowd at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg that reversing a growing inequality between haves and have-nots should be the top priority of Congress. "Where I can act on my own, I'm going to. I'm not going to wait for Congress," he said in the second of two speeches that kicked off a series of economic-themed addresses across the country. "This growing inequality isn't just morally wrong; it's bad economics," Obama said. http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/24/politics/obama-economy/index.html?hpt=hp_t3 China's richest man says wealth gap not a priority (AFP) July, 2013 BEIJING â China's yawning divide between rich and poor does not need to be tackled, the country's richest person said Wednesday -- as long as everyone can become wealthy. "We don't need to solve the problem of the rich-poor gap, we need to solve the problem of common prosperity," said Zong Qinghou. Zong is a delegate to the Chinese National People's Congress. Zong warned: "If we had egalitarianism... we wouldn't have enough to eat." He called for lower taxes to stimulate investment. "It's best to encourage people to create wealth," he said. http://www.google.com/hostednews/af...ocId=CNG.8fcf3fa81aeb65ae27506c00e8bfc6c8.221 Sometimes you really wonder which is the communist country.....
Someone who wants vote of the poor says wealth inequality is the biggest problem facing country. Shocker
Liberals would rather everyone be poor than for one person to become wealthy if all can't become wealthy (except for their liberal friends who are channeled billions from the government, of course).
Obama doesn't even make sense. How can it be morally "wrong". Equality is impossible in a world where people have different skillsets, different dispositions, different abilities. All we can do is to have the right conditions so that all can prosper according to his/her own individual capabilities.
So let me see if I understand the point on the right on this subject of "growing inequality". So you guys are for the growing inequality, simply put the rich get richer and everyone else gets poorer. Sounds like another republican presidential slogan, almost as dumb as "drill baby drill".
Because it's inferior. But if we must have it, I will be in charge, and YOU don't get a vote. Suddenly I like republicanism.
