Your broker didn't do too bad either. :sneaky:
How are you picking these stocks.... just off of the "most active" list?

    Profits posted are after commissions.
Commission is only $1 for 200 shares, so not really hurting there.
Yes, I play active/trending stocks of the day.

Yes, getting my ass handed to me today, was up $400, should have been done right there, kept going, now down $1,400, life of a day trader.

    Terrible day today:
Scalped YELP short for a win, scalped KORS short for a win, scalped HRTX short for a win (right after I covered, it crashed)
Then I get the bright idea to trade DXPE - I bought 200 shares @ 25.23, it was up about 45% for the day when I decided to go long, the spread was getting wider and wider, I got shook out exactly where I came in $25.23, wouldn't you know it, it keeps going up, finishes the day @ $27.60 up over 58%, then I got the bright idea to short it, took a loss there as well + I'm carrying a position with a loss, which I said I would not do, I'm so bad at this.

    Booked P/L: -$20.70
    Carried loss: -$1,510
At desk for 8 hours, hourly pay: :(

Just hoping something like this does not happen, I would have an instant heart attack.

  9. ...Good Luck" o_O:confused: -- a Trader needs more than Luck ...they need to think like an Army General...seeing both the bigger picture, and the smaller tactical one.

As Gordon Gekko would say: 'read Sun Tzu the Art of War...every Battle is won, before it is ever fought.'

Gordon Gecko had feelings though, in the end he got mad and pwned.
