whoa brother! just clicked on some of those links i have to hand it to you fighting like the lone ranger over there against the cult idiots! looks like you have them running like cock roaches. pretty funny one guy says well i hold no value in historical data - jack is teaching tape reading. well i guess jack is pulling it out his a$$!

these guy's are really pathetic and the mods and operator of this forum has allowed a warm damp place for the mushrooms to grow, using their own crap as fertilizer. weird and smelly. jack must have a hedge fund record love it!

  2. Thanks! Hershey and his groveling toadies are really something, aren't they? LOL!!! This quote explains how their antics have inspired me to remain faithful to my cause of providing as objective a view of Jack's voodoo as I can:

"At times one remains faithful to a cause only because its opponents do not cease to be insipid."
    --Friedrich Nietzsche

Here's another post you might enjoy... I compared and contrasted Hershey and Bill Eckhardt. Jack's big on comparing and contrasting, especially if you do it in 3-ring binders!

I second that. I also dont see him promoting his products on ET. From what i know he doesnt sell anything at all, at least not public.

One advise for the Hershey circle: GET REAL!

  7. Of course backtesting isnt going to work on a highly discretionary trading method such as the Hershey method since the person doing the backtesting would need to be highly familiar with all the contexts and situations one would encounter. If you dont know the ins and outs of the method, how can you properly backtest?
My experience is this, everything that Spy and Jack mentions about what needs to be done to see the market a certain way has come true. Do I use all the tools they use, no I dont. But am I using the PV relationship in the proper context to trade profitably everyday, you betcha. Did it happen overnight? No way, took lots of time to drill everything down.

You guys are free to feel anything you want, but I just know that backtesting by someone not extremely familiar with the method is doomed to fail.

good a sensible person from that camp welcome. here is my take on what you have just said. you are using a tool and making money. you are not using everything jack has and i would ask why not? the answer is most likely you have found some combination of things on your own that work for you. you yourself not jack is doing the trading here so honestly you can not be here telling me that jacks methods even work cause your really not trading jacks method you like many others are trading your method.

when i gave away oddball it was as a base for other people to use the idea and expand it out where it becomes a part of an overall trading plane that is theirs personally. i didn't go around like a god, belittling people like i see on the spydertrader journal. i helped and assisted people to find their own way. you really should be giving yourself the credit for what you have accomplished with your own success. there are zillions of tools out there and i really doubt that much is original work, most is renamed - recycled stuff.

i believe that no trader can simply buy or learn a system and start trading it without fully understanding it's logic. jack and the cult over there are not an environment to learn they have a bully environment over there where if you ask questions your lazy and not worth a penny. what that journal is nothing more that a show and not tell - a bragging place for the supposedly enlightened to make all the other lazy dumb people feel less superior to those who post pretty charts. it's exactly like the story of the kings clothes.

congratulations on your personal success! you did what everyone should be doing. you weeded through all these post and ideas and you came up with some tools you could use to build your trading plan. that's what we all have to do.

Did you even read your own post?

You DID this very thing in the SAME post!

This is your M.O., to get people on your website without being a sponsor of ET. Wonder why the 'signature' lines went away?

    Unreal!

  10. You missed my point completely. I never said I backtested the whole ball of dung, I backtested select chunks of it that Jack at some point said would be profitable by themselves.

The whole ball of dung isn't backtestable, and that's by design, because the harsh light of day would put a huge crimp in the Hershey pied piper routine.
