As a long time Hawaii resident we have a number of monopolies here and sure need more competition. Glad Southwest will be coming to the islands. Looks like SW wins the category for having more spacious seating in economy over our current carriers - Hawaiian & United. With my profits made from long LUV on a nice swing trade that should cover my air travel for years to come - Its always fun spending profits made from a stock trade in purchasing their products - keeps that good karma going.

Hawaiian Air Holdings (HA) sold off nicely on this news. Over-reaction perhaps?
They still have a pretty low PE compared to the (pretty low PE) of DAL.
They report Thursday. At a 52 week low.
Hmmmmm. More DD needed on this one.

LUV is one of the best run airlines; DAL, AMR have been bankrupt, but all of them are safer travel than autos.:cool:
