    Prediction:

Of course they'll catch this person(s), they'll be white, a "Trump supporter", the MSM will do about 1 minute of the required due diligence, upon which will follow a week-long 24/7 deluge of this story tying it to, and blaming it all on Trump... because before 2016 there were no (dirt level IQ) racist inbreds in rural Louisiana that did such things.

So call the editor's desk and lets feed that fire... to hell with the damage it does to the bigger picture... we can saturate the airways and internet with this story and attribute it all to Trump. Hey and if we're really lucky and the "journalism" gods are on our side... they'll find a MAGA hat in this man's trailer covering his meth stash.

Open that fire-hose team... and make sure its gasoline in there.

Let's be pretty clear here - your guy started his campaign with "Mexicans are rapists" tirade, he was previously known for wanting to kill 5 young black kids for a crime they didn't commit - guy regularly rants racist things and is extremely popular among neo-nazis - so of course the criminal to be caught is going to be a Trump supporter.

Stop whining - you own this racist demented moron and his politics.

    I don't "own Trump" bud.
I'm simply pointing out how the MSM and other left leaning media outlets only serve to further fuel the ever increasing division in this country via their pipelines into our lives. All because they still can't reconcile the fact that f'ing Hillary LOST.
They will do whatever it takes to discredit the man, and you're to fucking stupid and walleyed-visioned to see that.
Feed the fire Exgoper, feed the fire.
    Its all on Trump.
Racism was dead in this country until he got elected.
    Right.

One side has been pushing hate and bigotry for two decades. The other has been reporting on the results of hate and bigotry. Don't fault the news outlets for pointing out the motivations of lunatics that act on the words spouted by their leaders and pundits.

I'm tired of Trump voters failing to own up to the fact they voted a god damn mistake into the white house because they bought into the "black man bad" bullshit spouted by the Hannitys, Dobbs, Becks, O'reillys, and Limbaughs of the world. They should own it and double down or admit their mistake, not pass on the blame when their people commit atrocities.

Deputy sheriff's son charged in connection with string of fires at historically black churches in Louisiana

Editor's note: A previous version of this story stated that the suspect's father, Deputy Roy Matthews, turned his son in. In a press conference Thursday morning, St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said that report was incorrect. Sheriff Guidroz said the suspect's father "helped facilitate the arrest, he got the suspect away from home" and had "no knowledge" of his son's activities.

Police arrested the 21-year-old son of a sheriff's deputy in connection to fires at three historically black churches in one Louisiana Parish in just 10 days. The fires were devastating to the St. Landry Parish community.

Investigators arrested suspect Holden Matthews Wednesday evening. He was charged Thursday morning with three counts of simple arson of a religious building. The maximum penalty for each counts is 15 years in prison.

Matthews' social media shows he had an interest in black metal music and is the lead singer for a band called Vodka Vultures. Records show Matthews lives in Saint Landry Parish, where the churches burned just a few miles apart. Police have not yet revealed a motive.

The churches were empty at the time of each fire and no one was hurt.

Earlier this week, the NAACP said the church burnings were "domestic terrorism," targeting people because of their skin color and faith.

Attacks on black churches have long been used as a way to intimidate the black community, most notably during the civil rights era. Though police in Saint Landry Parish have heightened security at nearby churches, parishioners have not stopped their Sunday worship and all the pastors say they will rebuild.

The fires began on March 26 at St. Mary Baptist Church in Port Barre followed by Greater Union Baptist on April 2 and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church on April 4.

"There's still people that need to be helped, there's still ministry that has to be done, so we can't let this setback stop us from doing what God has initially called us to do," said Pastor Kyle Sylvester of St. Mary's Baptist Church.

The FBI and ATF have been assisting local police with the investigation.

Authorities say they will announce "significant updates" at a press conference Thursday morning with Louisiana's governor.

  8. Imagine if a right leaning publication made articles like this, but instead of writing white, they wrote black or latino. You're right though. One side has been pushing hate and bigotry, but not for 2 decades, but for 2 centuries. They used to target blacks, now they target whites. Same racism, different flavor.
