    Hi all,
I would like to make the backtests of several patterns that I found in one very old book by Arthur Merill. It can be done using "normal" chart but I guess P&F chart is the best solution.
But there is one problem, I have no idea how to do it not manually. I'm using Tradestation for real time trading and Amibroker for backtesting and both software don't support well with P&F charts.

So, maybe we have somebody here who has some application what can do test it and ready to help?

    Thanks!

It has been many years since I used it, but this was/is THE software for p&f... https://bullseyebroker.com/

They are still around, but you will have to contact them or signup for details on the current feature set. Back in the day they wrote and sold their software. Now the software is only a piece of the offering, I guess??

  4. Have you checked the Hall of Fame thread section ? There is a really good thread titled Learning to read price action with P&F charting by a trader named HolyGrail.https://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/122236

Nothing but supply and demand, and maybe try Stockcharts.com for set ups.

Thanks for that topic. Will try to go through all of the posts.
Unfortunately, it looks like Stockcharts.com does not have any coding engine for PF
There are a lot of application that can create the PF charts but not make valid backtests. Will try to find somebody with Quantshare, or maybe somebody from quantopian.com can help

  6. Yeah, I haven’t seen anything for PnF as far as backtests. Maybe I will find a broker with alerts and do some forward testing of set ups in the journals section. It would be interesting to see some month over month results similar to autochartist.
