With the California Adventists as an exception. "the only exception to this is Loma Linda, California, which is a town that was consciously created to be a haven for Seventh-Day Adventist health nuts."

"Despite their reputation for longevity (and for having the most number of supposed centenarians per 10 000 in Japan), the Blue Zone of Okinawa actually has the lowest aggregate life expectancy for any prefecture in Japan.

So, even if all these over centenarians are actually the age they say they are, their longevity can only be chalked up to them being genetic freaks, cuz their lifestyle is certainly not helping any of their fellow islanders to live longer."
