The most obnoxious leftist polticians and the really obnoxious leftist media telling everyone else how to live come from the state with the greatest segregation. No southern states comes close to the level of segregation in N.Y. schools. No poltician and no Media person should be allowed to vote or run for office until this is fixed. Quick someone get Reid to promote a new leftist and unconstitutional law and then Obama can fix this by executive order. We shall mark the leftists present or absent on this story. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/storie...ME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2014-03-26-12-18-45 NEW YORK (AP) -- New York state has the most segregated public schools in the nation, with many black and Latino students attending schools with virtually no white classmates, according to a report released Wednesday. The report by the Civil Rights Project at the University of California at Los Angeles looks at enrollment trends from 1989 to 2010. In New York City, the largest school system in the U.S. with 1.1 million pupils, the study notes that many of the charter schools created over the last dozen years are among the least diverse of all, with less than 1 percent white enrollment at 73 percent of charter schools. "To create a whole new system that's even worse than what you've got really takes some effort," said Gary Orfield, co-director of the Civil Rights Project and an author of the report. He and his fellow researchers say segregation has the effect of concentrating black and Latino students in schools with high ratios of poor students compared with the statewide average. Black and Latino students who attend schools that are integrated by race and income level perform significantly better than their peers in segregated schools, the authors note. The study suggests that New York's segregation is largely due to housing patterns, because housing and school segregation are correlated, but that it could be mitigated through policies intended to promote diversity. "In the 30 years I have been researching schools, New York state has consistently been one of the most segregated states in the nation - no Southern state comes close to New York," Orfield said. ...
I see the spam has started again... so while here I thought some leftist spammers might address this.
Nevermind. I logged out, and took a look. Why don't you guys throw that little faggot on ignore, so he'll go away? When I posted who "it" is, it's job title was "emailer." LOL! The communist little fag's sole purpose is to send out spam, and spread diseases when not in front of a computer.
Millions of school kids in the south wasted their youth riding daily on long schoolbus journeys to achieve racial balance in schools, usually at the direction of activist liberal judges who sent their own kids to private school. Segregated housing patterns were not a valid excuse, and one of society's biggest assets, the neighborhood school, was lost as a result. Apparently the same constitutional "rights" that mandated this forced bussing do not apply in NY. Perhaps we need a new Civil Rights Law that forces NY to clear its school plans with the Department of Justice? Surely Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton would support that.
