Great video going over the flaws of the two party system

  2. Misleading. He says the Founders intended one branch be dependent on the people "alone", and then claims we have perverted that by the need to raise funds.

As he surely knows however, the Founders limited voting to adult, male landowners, ie people who had a stake in preserving the system the Founders set up.

Limit voting today to those people and most of our problems go away. Instead, we have evolved into more of a pure democracy, where everyone with a pulse, and in many democrat counties, those without, can vote. Of course, this leads to the infamous tipping point, where a majority begins to like the idea of voting themselves the property of the minority.

I didn't finish the video, as I found his condescending tone annoying. To be true to his premise however, we could limit voting to those who have contributed either a substantial amount in taxes or in direct contributions to a candidate, thereby indicating their commitment to the process. Low information, me-first voters would exclude themselves.

If we were going to do something like that, I think I prefer owner of $100,000 dollar piece of real estate as determined by the county tax assessor or more. (indexed to inflation.)
