  2. "The gunman who murdered three people in Kansas on Sunday was defeated in primary races in the Democratic and the Republican parties, which could complicate any partisan effort to associate either party with the unusual anti-Semitic attack."

The funny thing is, he got more votes as a republican than as a democrat.

Here's a gem from the same article: The 1970s Klan was a rebirth of the post-Civil War Klan, which was formed to terrorize black voters and elected Republicans in the southern states.

That is either pure b.s. or a misrepresentation. about 2 years ago... the KKK came out against the Tea Party (we had a thread on it here on et) ... They did it at the same time other democrat type groups were coming out against the tea party.

The KKK is still an arm of the democrat party.

You do realize that when Frazier Glenn Miller ran for Governor as a Democrat in the 1980s the North Carolina State Democratic party did not say a word.

When he ran for state Senate as a Republican the state Republican party publicly disowned him as a candidate.

That is the difference between the two parties in the South.

I should also note that in the 1980s, the North Carolina state legislature has 13 representatives who were KKK members - all of them Democrats.

And let's not forget the late Robert C Byrd, democrat senator from West Virginia. He was an active klan member, and not long ago came on Larry king calling white trash "white niggers," and NO ONE demanded he step down. If he were a republican, he would have been hanged by his own party! And yes, any dems here reading this know it!

  6. That is a stupid lie, and you have to take a look at yourself in the mirror if you can't see that most all of the blatant racist white people are republicans. Step back and take a breath of reality man. Or not, keep living in delusional dream land if you want.

ABSOLUTELY!! And notice how the dems are the exact same party that wants to keep the blacks "on their porches" by encouraging lack of work via "free" goodies? Moreover, the dems not only want to CONTROL blacks, they've expanded their control ideals to the entire populace.

In North Carolina, we still have KKK members running as Democrats for public office in 2012. For the first time in 2012 the state Democratic party in Raleigh disowned these racist candidates - North Carolina: Former KKK Member, White Supremacist Running As Democrats. Over the past 30 years, 13 members of our state legislature have had associations with the KKK, all of these were Democrats and none Republicans. Note that until 2010, the North Carolina state legislature always had a Democratic majority for over 100 years.

first of all I would not dispute that perhaps by number there would be more racists in the republican party... afterall something like 80% of white men are republicans.

But if you want to talk percentages... I believe the dems have a good chunk of the racist white men. The most racism I have seen comes from old school union guys.

2nd... a few years ago there was massive anti white cracker crap coming out of the democrat party... that has died off a bit but your side is still the race baiting side.

Finally ----- none of the above changes the fact the KKK was and still is an arm of the democrat party. There was thread on this here a few years ago.
Nationally republicans have been the party behind the passage of civil rights laws and women's sufferage.

Finally tax paying, business owning or even management white guys can't afford to be racist and frankly are not racist.

Republican racism is very isolated. The party does not tolerate it.

The center of racism in this country is the democrat party. If they could not create it, they would lose a lot of voters.
