    NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM - News) today announced that it intends to offer $8 billion of its common stock for sale to the public. J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. will serve as sole bookrunning manager and underwriter for the transaction. The underwriter will have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the offered amount of common stock from the company to cover over-allotments, if any.

  4. JPMorgan acquires certain WaMu assets for $1.9 billion

    NEW YORK (Reuters) - JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM - News) has acquired certain assets of Washington Mutual Inc (NYSE:WM - News) for $1.9 billion after the large savings and loan was closed by regulators on Thursday.

    The acquisition will have no impact on WaMu's depositors or customers. The bank had $188.3 billion in deposits and the Office of Thrift Supervision described it as a $307 billion institution.
