  1. At the moment, I'm going to use IB.

  2. Not to add fuel to the fire, but this spike low happened at the Oanda market open on Sunday, down to 1.9071, which did not appear on MT4...

  4. I can only go by my own personal experience, and while I accept they had a lot of problems in the past (in fact I myself posted about some of them, with videos) they seem to have sorted themselves out now.

I've posted numerous blotters with literally hundreds of trades and with the exception of maybe ~20 trades with minor slippage (one they actually reimbersed) and a couple of disconnections I can't say I've had any problems. Bottom line is trading with Oanda works for me.

These blotters are from today's trading of 2 separate FXManager accounts....

  5. As the kids say, "trudat!". (??).
Any questionable practices attributed to Oanda has been far exceeded by my own trading inequities.

  6. Which MT4 broker are you using for charts D&M because you might want to check what time they start updating their feed on Sunday evening, I know a few of them open quite late. I had the same debate with someone else who saw a gap where no gap actually existed in the market, a problem if you're trading a gap to be filled!

Here's CMC's, they're usually fairly accurate and they show the same price as Oanda.

  7. MetaTrader demo for the charts. It was the 30 pip weekend spread that caught me. Live and learn.

  8. Sorry I didn't explain what I meant very well, I don't think spreads (or quote manipulation) were the reason for the discrepancy you thought you saw. What was the time of the first bar/candle you can see on MT4 on Sunday evening?

Here are 3 charts, the first one is yours from Oanda showing a low of 1.9071, the second is CMC showing a low of 1.9070, and the third is MT4 showing a low of 1.9157. On first glance it looks like there are some suspicious spikes on Oanda and CMC but looking closer the MT4 low is actually 3 hours later than Oanda and CMC because MT4 weren't open, there's a big chunk of data missing off the MT4 chart, including those two bars down which make the lows to 1.9070

I've been caught out with the same thing in the past as I use MT4 for charts and not Oanda's, sometimes there are big gaps at the open on MT4 which didn't actually exist in the market!

  9. I see.
Oanda begins their data-feed at 3:00 pm NY time on Sunday.
MT is, I believe at 5 pm. I have been unable to find the clock setting feature on the MT demo.
Seems as though the witch hunt begins only when money is lost!
Regardless, I should have widened my stop before Fridays close.
My stop was at 1.9059, price touched 1.9071.

  10. I'll save you're time, their isn't one :)

They're isn't one on the live version either, but as their are dozens of MT4 brokers it might be possible to find one that displays you're time zone.

(lol, go on then :) )
