  2. What happened to this thread, has everyone gone into futures?

Anyway, this from BNP Paribas this morning, maybe time to sell some Yen short term?

  3. Trade my futures? For what?
No, still plugging away. There was a terrible amount of "noise" on the threads recently.

  4. Yep, seen it, it's just kids having a bit of fun and keeping out from under mums feet :)

I thought Ivan went off to the land of milk and honey.....futures!

Where are you Ivan, come back and tell us whether the grass really was greener over there, post your holiday snaps :)

  5. I'm still around. Playing with futures. I'm not ready to post anything at this point.

I'll still post trades, but will do so in the spot quote to make it easier for everyone. I still have my demo account with Oanda and will use that to test strategies.

I won't be full blown futures for a while. Dipping my toe in.

And I'm not looking for the land flowing with milk and honey. Just the one flowing with whiskey and guiness.

  6. Now you're talking [IMG]

I'd be interested in how you find it and how you get on when you're ready to share, it would make a change to have a universal price.

  7. That's why this is going to be a slow process. I'd prefer not to rush it, and after being in spot (with Oanda) since 2004, this is a whole new ballgame.

I did, however, remove almost all of my funds from Oanda, and left $20,000 in there to play with. I actually got an email from stumm, too. Heh.

  8. Did you liquidate Oanda out of concerns, or just to fund a different account? And any reason for the venture into futures? Thanks

  9. Oanda's platform performance since last fall has gotten worse and worse, and I've realized (and been scolded by other traders) that if I'm going to seriously trade currencies on a macro, long-term basis, futures are the way to go.

I no longer trust Oanda to be fair - nor ANY other market maker.

  10. Who are you using for futures?
