You're only a plastic bag blowing in the wind on this giant dumpsite.

  6. It all becomes a blur after a while as I basically train myself to absorb the concepts... I should probably keep notes.

But some recent trading books that were instructive:

    - Rebel Allocator
    - Reminiscences of a Stock Operator.
    - Dark pools (Patterson)
    - Quants (Patterson)
    - Navigating debt crisis (Dalio) - yes I literally read the entire thing

    In the area of entertainment:

    - Misbehavior of Markets
    - Millionaire Traders
    - New Trader Rich Trader

Latter two are sort of biographical and show that traders are normal people. (Edit: they aren't great or helpful, just entertaining)

What is high IQ, really? I think it is simply the ability to gel with the people who surround you, and the surroundings.

I stand corrected. Maybe there is still hope for me to become a trading genius? :D

I am have Asperger's, is a less severe form of autism, not a separate condition. The current consensus is that Asperger’s syndrome and autism are one and the same, the difference between the two being a matter of degree. My father and his 3 brothers had IQ's of 180 and above. People generally get IQ's wrong, they normally are a skill within narrow passages of life. Government tested me several times in late 70s/early 80's for IQ and were the same as my Uncles.
My skills are pattern recognition or absence of patterns. Up to 2010, had photo memory, high math skills, logic and would be able to memorize pages of foreign languages without knowing what they meant. Had brain surgery and couple procedures done in 2010 cause of inoperable cancerous tumors, so had loss. Still working daily to increase memory, word games works well of 3-4 hours a day. Funny I lost 3 years of my life and even now have difficulty remembering, but when it comes to pre 2010, remember almost all regarding trading skills.

My paragraph structures are always off, I don't seem to be able to blend like topics, even though have worked on this decades. I always been troubled by so many thought processes coming in makes tough for being focused with writing. It not this way when testing price data.

High IQ does not mean one always does right actions and for me, what was right regarding human beings, "opps" is often my response as many emotions I simply don't have nor do I have a conscience. I have read a great deal in my life on how to blend in, but have found knowing the stats of humans reactions is how I react.

Also, have Klinefelter's syndrome, that came with speech impediment so I type what I can pronounce.

As far as trading, my first 25 years, I made much more in real estate and last 19 years makes first 25 years look rather small. Having high IQ, I believe works against the individual, the markets are people with emotions, whether you are programming or artificial intelligence, at some point decisions of the past were made based on huge number of people having an opinion, they used "thought" which always to make more or not lose and assigned to happiness or sorrow.

I don't know if I ever known why the race to make more was about other than keep score. I continue to trade as the challenges of me against me still exist. Automation certainly given me more time to test.

It is said that Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton likely had Asperger's as well.
