there's actually an idea out there that would require 30% of M1 to be backed by gold. It would still allow all the benefits of fiat money, but keep them just a little more honest. last I checked that would put gold at $2500/oz your son will need 4 apple carts just to live like your dad did with one good time to be selling apple carts, they are buying more and more of them
