When you have the pent up desires the Democrats had after 8 years of Bush and they got a super majority in the Senate, a majority in the House and the most liberal President in ages they (all of them) are going to be pushing basically the same agenda. They are going to get things done that they want. But to describe Obama as being connected and as a good leader is a mischaracterization. He is not. He is very detached to the reality of the nation and merely pushes his agenda to Congress and his appointees to implement. He is in reality a weak and ineffectual President and person. His attributes are that he is black, sounds like a white person and is good at speeches. That and the fact that liberals were furious with Bush and the financial crisis happened one month before the election are the only reasons he is where he is now.
