We came, we broke it, we left. U.S. Sidelined as Iraq Becomes Bloodier The 2003 invasion helped sow the seeds for an incipient civil war By Mark Thompson 14 August 2013 "The U.S. invaded Iraq 3,802 days â and 4,486 American lives â ago. As Iraq moves ever closer to civil war â 1,057 died there last month, the highest toll in five years, with more than 100 perishing in nationwide bombings since last weekend â the U.S. basically can do little to quell the violence its invasion a decade ago helped make possible. "The U.S. government said the weekend attacks were likely the work of al-Qaedaâs Iraq branch, exploiting ancient tensions between Islamâs Sunni and Shiâite sects. Once again, it announced the existence of a $10 million bounty for information leading to the killing or capture of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the Sunni leader of the local al-Qaeda franchise." More >>
Yep, pretty stupid policy to remove Hussein when he was one of the only guys keeping Iran in check. Oh, and just to be sure Iran can be unleashed, let's go and topple the taliban who are fighting Iran on the other border. Whoops...too late!
That's just a warmup for the election to blame bush because Iraq is such a disaster because obama pulled out early in the same way futurecurrents daddy wishes he did. The positive side is that Egypt is shaping up to fall into a nasty civil war and barry and hillary own it. Not only that but it looks like barry and hillary let 400 SAM's fall into the hands of al queda during the fall of libya. Well done democrats.
