The former comptroller of the United States has created a documentry showing just how funked up our financial situation has gotten. It will be showing at 2pm ET today and then twice tomorrow I think...It's on for sure 2pm today though. I know six people who have already seen it and they represent a wide political spectrum and only one did not find it worthwhile. Hopefully with it showing up on CNN tonight and not just in artsy documentry type theatres people will actually see it and demand that this crazyness stop! Wishful thinking I know.

As I watch this show I'm reminded somewhat of my childhood. I was the typically annoying little brother who was always getting his ass kicked by his big brothers. I used to whine to my dad about it, if it was out of line my brothers would get in trouble, but in the majority of cases I really had it coming...and in those cases he'd just laugh and say Well if you kept your aligator mouth shut your tadpoole ass wouldnt be getting kicked now would it? Sure seems to me that with all the obligations the US Govt has made for itself that Uncle Sam's going to have a bad case of the Aligator Mouth and Tadpoole as syndrome.

Here is a link to the 30 minute version of IOUSA. This is such an important issue, and it really does not matter what party you are in, this is an American issue, one that we must resolve.

Ok I watched it and here's my take.

I used to play chess, or monopoly, or cards every so often. Whenever things went downhill and started to turn against me, I'd cheat. I'd create some kind of minor distraction or just move a piece when and if the other person wasn't looking. No biggie.

Then I'd get busted and talk my way out of it by lying and promising never to do that again. Cool, game continues.

Then I'd get busted again, this time I would have to promise to stop so who ever I was playing with wouldn't quit or kick my ass. Sometimes I'll pay them off with some of my monopoly money. Tension in the air but the grease job worked. Game is on.

But now the game is pretty much sacked from my end anyway, there's no way I'm gonna win. So I do the only thing left to do:

I blowup the board. I pick it up and fling it, along with all the pieces and money, across the room. If I can't win, no one can.

But then a strange thing happens. My little cousin who's been wanting to play,[but I won't let him 'cause he's... you know, little] walks over there and picks up all the assets (whoops, I mean pieces) uncontested, and starts a new game with all new players.

    One that I can't join.
