They should do this for every new President and should have done such for the POTUS back in 2016 instead of the POTUS gaining the followers of Obama. They can then do a proper analysis of their social media about "each" POTUS followers. wrbtrader
Yep though they have to zero it at Biden, in hindslght forcing Trump to build his.. or give Biden the followers Trump started with? Arguably, most of the POTUS accounts are not American Trumpiban extremists but those who are being mindless beasts whipped by tweets, giving them a break and letting them return to normality is the best thing I think.
Mr Biden's team "fought" the plan, but the social media giant said its decision was "unequivocal". The move marks a reversal from the last transition. If the twitter represents the "office", I could see wanting to reach out to all Americans w/the newfound growth. Half would just be trolling obviously.
I believe Twitter did this to stop any possible trolling as you mentioned. It's probably the work of the Biden people. The left controls what Twitter does.
I'm sure there is reaching just letting them gradually deprogram, the remninats of common sense will resurface once the endless dirge of dear leader goes. Speak to them the old dignified way, end twitter for presidential comms.
I do think Biden will likely just let the ol' account collect dust. I also think Trump tapped into the potential of twitter that could be a wasted opportunity if they did so. The dems have a horrible branding problem and they could learn a thing or two about "pimping their achievements" as Trump did without needing to spiral into the grotesque by making shit up as he did of course.
So.. Anyone in doubt of Trump's mental capacity. He had this twitter password.. Dutch prosecutors have found a hacker did successfully log in to Donald Trump's Twitter account by guessing his password - "MAGA2020!" www.bbc.com/news/technology-55337192
Now Twitter forced Trump to turn on two-factor authentication so this will not happen again. The interesting part of this story is how hard this white hat hacker tried to warn Trump, the Whitehouse, police agencies, Twitter, and others about this problem and was ignored.
twitter denied the allegation, there was a thread started by exGOPer months ago I felt like bumping but wasn't sure who to believe. On one hand we got twitter saying it never happened, on the other you go the Dutch judicial system saying it did happen. Twitter has incentive to lie of course, but it raises the question.
