Interesting read about Mirus (Ninja) http://www.commoditytrademantra.com...-flash-crashed-gold-in-2014-finally-revealed/
Yeah I was gonna post the CME disciplinary advisory on it but didn't think others would be intersted too much. http://www.cmegroup.com/tools-infor...4-9807-BC-MIRUS-FUTURES-LLC.html#pageNumber=1
It's funny how it's always a retail trader that's blamed. In the flash crash it was literally some guy living with his parents. in gold it's ninja trader. I don't really buy the idea that these "crashes" are bad or caused by these quotes. they're caused by a lack of buyers. if the volatility clears out all the stops right below the market, then maybe there'll be fewer traders with tight stops playing for dimes and nickels and the market will be more robust when a "real" market crash comes along. that's not such a bad thing.
Where do you see the CME disciplinary reports? I just saw this on the internet and it caught my eye with the $200k fine.
