Help please with the info: When was the Cancellation Fee on the NYSE and NASDAQ ? And what about now with this fee?
I'm not aware of any cancellation fees for equities. Each option exchange has their own policy on charging for cancellation fees and each broker has their own policy to charging the accounts that have an excessive ratio of cancels to executions. It is not calculated by the option exchange for the customer, but by the execution broker. Since our executing brokers do a lot of customer business, that has very few cancels, we generally don't get charged so either do our clients.
