  2. "That all changes if you’re buying a policy that starts covering in 2014. Blue Shield of California offers the cheapest plan at $900 a month with deductibles of $4,500 for individuals and $9,000 for families. The Blue Shield policy also covers only 60% of costs."

LOL! Enjoy the pain leftist bitches. You deserve it. Oh, and that two hour wait in the dreaded and appropriately named "Waiting Room" will now be about 4-5 hours.
Can't believe the GOP just didn't sit back, watch this whole thing meltdown, while having the BALLS to rub every single democrats nose in it all day, everyday. Then come election 2014/2016 season, again having the BALLS to say to the voting public...had enough you stupid, silly fucks? You like getting fucked, keep voting dem. We got ours, so FUCK YOU! OR, you can wise the fuck up. Take your pick.

Why can our peers make national healthcare work but we can't, are we stupid?

  4. I'm not sure they make it work. Depends how you define work. All that is moot point anyway. We have a broken system becasue we don't address health care cost, just insurance cost. In King Obama's world we would all be driving government mandated electric cars that didn't work right, and had a 3 month waiting list to get one. We'd be paying 200K for the cheapest model, and he'd be telling us all was right in the world cause the insurance was "only" a hundred bucks a month, and "low interest" financing was availble if you qualify.

    that is a softball ...
this obamacare was designed by insurance companies for insurance companies.

good job obama, pelosi reid and the dems in congress who sold the people out.

We all could have designed a hybrid system.
Which using free market ideas... would have eventually forced the insurance companies to come together and compete.

or we could have had single payer.

I'd like to stick to this part. By work, I mean everyone has access to basic and acute care without having to pay huge deductibles, or having to go bankrupt, or having to work for a large employer. I ask from the perspective of a person employed in Canada, where everyone gets that (employers also contribute), and where the wealthy are still free to get more care elsewhere if they so choose. Sure, there's no perfect system, but before Obamacare our system was a wreck for too many. After Obamacare, the jury is still out so I won't say.
