[IB simple question] How to trade future of other country?

Discussion in 'Interactive Brokers' started by jk90029, Apr 6, 2016.

  1. Dear-

For example, well-known stocks such as Samsung Galaxy, can be traded as a future.

I was able to see IB-tradable shown as below.

    1) Is the trading US dollar based? OR should I prepare Korean currency?
    2) Which chart do I need to see?
    3) Similarly, how can I find IB-tradable lists for the other (all) Korean-related company such as Samsung Electronics?
    4) In IB, may I trade well-known SONY too, as equity or future?

I heard that ADR Samsung Electronics equity has little volume in NYSE/NASDAQ so that it is difficult to sell later. Is it true?

  2. 1. In Korean won you can trade in korean won and holds profit in won but you cant convert USD to KRW only from KRW to USD 2.I dont know. You must know if zime based charts or volume charts or tick charts or range bars charts or other..
    3. On IB web page you find all tradable instruments on KRX exchange.
    4. Answer from question 3.

  3. Therefore, IB takes the margin for exchange rate between the two currency.

As a beginner, I do not know how to find "all tradable instruments on KRX exchange." in IB, as well as Japan exchange.
Appreciate if someone show me menu or screen capture.
