Say I have 17 share haven't been closed out, how to closed them out?
Assuming that your priority is to exit as soon as you can (and that you are not too worried about getting the best price you can) I can think of at least two alternatives ...
1. Call your broker and ask them to close the position; or
2. If you can't, then place an order yourself to close your 17 share position: if you're doing this during core session market hours, then place a market order to close the position. If you want to close the position outside market hours, use a limit order with the limit price set so that it executes straight away (e.g. if your limit order is a sell limit order, then your limit price should be BELOW the bid; if your limit order is a buy limit order, then your limit price should be ABOVE the offer; in either case you should get filled straight away at the bid or offer).
