How the fuck do these people get elected into congress?

Not going to lie, when i saw this it got to me, have we actually gotten to the point in politics where the voters are so fucking stupid that someone like this woman can come out and claim the taliban arent terrorists, and still get elected? WTF does this woman think has been going on in Afghanistan for the last 13 years?



Dem Rep.: Taliban Not Terrorists, ‘Part of the Fabric of Afghanistan’

Democratic congresswoman Jackie Speier made an odd statement on MSNBC today, saying that it’s not necessarily fair to refer to the Taliban as “terrorists,” when in fact, they’re more like “part of the fabric of Afghanistan.” As she talked about the deal to swap Bowe Bergdahl for five Gitmo detainees, Speier felt it was important to “underscore the term ‘terrorists.’”

She explained, “The Taliban is part of the fabric of Afghanistan. They were part of the leadership of that country before we engaged there.” Speier said the U.S. is trying to get the Taliban to talk with the Afghan government because there has to be “some level of coordination between the two if that country is going to survive and move forward.”

She concluded, “So to say that they are terrorists, at this point, is not necessarily accurate.”

Perhaps she's not aware of the heads that have been lopped off of woman and children by these non-terrorsts. No doubt her liberal views would go over really well with the tallies. You already know how they get elected. It's more than stupidity on the voters part.

 

It really is hard to fathom that a woman who thinks that not paying for someones birth control equates to a war on women, but the Taliban is just fine. How do you square those 2 thoughts?

 

She's one of the democraps' finest, right up there with Sheila Jackson Lee who "thought" Neil Armstrong planted a flag on Mars.

 

Maybe she's referring to cases of legitimate terrorism?

But my question still remains, How the fuck do these people make it to the top in politics, its like that train wreck Rob Ford, can anyone honestly tell me with all the handlers a politician has, no one realised that he was a cartoon character?

I honestly dont even understand how this happens, i get it when its an ignorant hillbilly in the middle of buttfuck nowhere, or some dumbass like Shiela jackson who gets elected solely based on race.

But how in the fuck do we explain the people like this woman, or rob ford, or nancy pelosi who make it to the top in well populated urban areas?

 

You're right, yet I can't help but laugh at the mention of Rob Ford. That man is loved in Toronto, lol.

 

My hockey team has always been the leafs, this is my desktop background. Rob Ford is actually so unstable that its funny, he reminds me of Chris Farley, except that Even Hollywood couldnt dream up a fuck up that big, they would deem the Rob Ford story too unrealistic, even for comedy.
