how bout those futures-anyone watching them right now?

  3. How can this be?:confused: this is the schedule from my broker.

    We at MB Trading would like to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving holiday. In observance of this US Federal holiday, the stock markets and MB Trading will be closed on Thursday, November 26th. Additionally, there will be a shortened session on Friday, November 27th. These closings will impact Penson's banking operations and any fund requests received after 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, November 25th will be processed on Friday, November 27th. Please keep in mind that this banking holiday may also delay incoming wires.

    The equities market will close early on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 1:00 PM ET. Thus, the cut-off times for certain banking transactions will be effected on Friday. All ACH, check, and wire requests must be submitted no later than 11:00 am ET in order to be processed that same day.

    Futures hours for various exchanges are affected. The futures support desk can be reached at 866-628-3003 during the holiday.

    11/25/2009 Regular close for all futures products.

    All CME products will have normal trading hours. Equity indexes, Foreign exchange, Interest rate, products will re-open at their regularly scheduled time on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 NYMEX/COMEX products on Globex will have normal trading hours and will re-open at the regular scheduled time in the evening on Wednesday for trade date of Friday, November 27, 2009.

    11/27/2009
    Equity indexes on CME GLOBEX will halt trading at 11:30 a.m. Foreign exchange, Interest rate, will halt trading at 1:00 p.m. These products will resume trading at 6:00 p.m.
    CBOT Grains will observe regular open at 7:00 p.m.
    NYMEX/COMEX products on Globex will halt trading at 5:15 p.m. and will resume trading at 6:00 p.m.

    Equity index, Foreign exchange, Interest rate products traded on CME GLOBEX during Regular Trading Hours (RTH) will close at 1:15 p.m. Commodities, Metal products traded on CME GLOBEX during RTH will close at 1 pm est.

    The top paragraph looks like the 11/26 schedule. YM bottomed -180 or so at around 10:00am prior to the 10:30 CST scheduled halt.

    The markets were open until 10:30 this morning. See CME Holiday schedule.

    I believe this reference was more about no one available on Thurs at MB Trading for any customers who may have needs. Their electronic platforms were still functioning all day (forex) and futures closed around noon.

    The "Why" was due to Dubai news overnight and Asian Central Bank intervention.

    Bloomberg Futures at 425 am EST 11/27 is showing -666 on Hang Seng for the day???

    Do we have a crazed biblical programer with an attitude problem over at JPM/GS ?
