What's been described two postings prior is called noise.

There is no such thing as "noise".

Noise can be a cute name for it, but "it" remains the sum of the behavior of all participants, not interference from variations in Jupiter's magnetic field.

Stop placement is correctly done outside the noise.

"Correctly" implies that there is only one valid model (yours), and that's not constructive.

I disagree with your choice of words, but agree with the basic principle if by "noise" you mean "under the recent swing low" or "above the recent swing high".

This thread isn't about someone who (a) trades via indicators and (b) hasn't even looked at the pdf, much less read it. Please don't reply to his posts. He will eventually tire.

Probably best to let Db police his own threads and put those who interfere with your own use and enjoyment of the web site on "ignore." I have done it to two individuals, and it makes browsing ET much more enjoyable (though if you forget to log oin first, you will still see the objectionable material :()

I would think, with all the alternatives - blogs, twitter, stocktwits, etc that it might be time for ET to moderate what can only be described as true internet harassment or stalking. How many times does one have to post 1) "It's all noise" 2) "its all in the prudent use of capital" 3) "fortydraws is a lying fraud" 4) "fortydraws is holding out on me" before it gets tiresome even to the troll? If one wants to see where this behavior eventually leads, visit traderslaboratory - that place in an internet ghost town these days, which is what will happen here if trolling goes unchecked for much longer. There are just too many abuse-free alternatives.

Actually the problem with TL had less to do with trolling than to opening it up to vendors, which is why it's now all vendors and beginners, mostly centered on Forex. The trolling thing is just something one has to tolerate. It's worth keeping in mind, though, that the only one who ends up the fool is the troll.

No time to post a chart, but anyone following along ought to not the Low and the (current) high and how they relate to the overnight range. Also, while hindsight, if one could not figure out a long entry near 17, if you view price as continuous, then there would have been plenty of time to set a buy stop at 24.25 as a potential HH for easy 5 and now 10 point scaleouts (inferior behavior lol) with a trail position now.
