Has Obama pulled troops out of Iraq?

  1. Or have they just been shifted from Iraq to Afghanistan...

  2. Almost all of MEU's go back to Afghanistan now. Which is a terrible shame after Bush's neglect allowed the Taliban to regroup and rearm. and more importantly allowed the general populace within Afghanni to believe that they were on their own against the Taliban. Now it's possible that the hearts and mind will never be own over again.

  3. I thought that dumb nut Obama was going to get us out of Iraq.

I guess he was just lying to get into office. What a jerk off.

Just think if Bush had spent all his time on Afghanistan and ignored Iraq. We would have a less crippled state in Afghanistan. But Iraq would have Hussein fighting to stay even with Iran in a nuclear way.
It would be on whole a worst situation.
Bush made a brilliant tactical move to clear out Hussein , it was the last chance we would ever had.

  5. He said a gradual pull out of Iraq, which is what he is doing

    RAMADI, Iraq —
The U.S. Marines marked the end of nearly seven years in Iraq on Saturday by handing the Army their command of Anbar province, once one of the war's fiercest battlefields but now a centerpiece of U.S.-Iraqi cooperation.

The changing of the guard - overseen by military brass and some of Anbar's influential Sunni sheiks - signals the start of an accelerated drawdown of American troops as the U.S. increasingly shifts its focus to the war in Afghanistan.

American commanders are trumpeting security gains in places such as the western Anbar province as a sign that their partnership with Iraqi security forces is working, and that the local troops can keep the country safe

  7. Just think now we have a crippled state in Afghanistan and we have a cripple state in Iraq. Plus, we contingent liabilities that are unimaginable. Quite a brilliant move by the Bush the Stupider.

  8. Duh! Too bad EVERYBODY doesn't yet get it.

    For those who don't know:
    Associated Press | July 15, 2008
WASHINGTON — Senator Obama said today that overall American interests have been hurt rather than helped by the Bush administration's decision to increase troop strength in Iraq 18 months ago, and vowed to stick to his plan to withdraw combat troops within 16 months of becoming president.

What Obama was saying is he will leave Iraq as a loss. Now he is leaving as a winner. Only because Bush and the US military refused to listen to Obama's ideas
